Application for FY26-27 NCAS Partner Institute is now closed.
Advance student capabilities in STEM through activities connecting coursework to NASA career pathways.
The Partner Institute Challenge engages current NASA Community College Aerospace Scholar partner institutes to guide their students to explore how their current coursework connects to NASA’s mission and aerospace career pathways. Institutes propose and implement their own NCAS activities that engage their students with aerospace-industry mentors. This challenge is designed to help partner institutes highlight the direct link between community college education and exciting careers in aerospace, engineering, science, and technology.
NASA’s Community College Aerospace Scholars program has a long history of engaging community college students in STEM. The Partner Institute Challenge provides students with a structured opportunity at their home community college to demonstrate their understanding of how their education connects to NASA’s workforce needs. Administered by the Institute of Competition Sciences for NASA’s Minority University Research & Education Project (MUREP), the Partner Institute Challenge leverages best practices in competition design to create an accessible and inspiring experience for community college students across the nation.
